Classic beauty, shining again

What a pleasure is was to work on the refit of this beautiful classic Sparkman & Stephens 56 'Patrician Tiger'.
The yacht with a mahogany hull over oak frames was built by Cantieri Sangermani in 1969.

To begin we redrew the design as a base for further calculation and drawings. Similarly, the entire mast and sail plan has been reworked to today's standards. And the interior was adapted to today while retaining the original character of the ship.

To actually sail her after the refit, was the absolute icing on the cake.

M36 - a very special edition

With M36 special edition we get on board in a journey to sustainably have fun. Imagine a 36 feet high-performance sailracer, packed with the latest innovations. A 100% Dutch design where we accept no compromise in our yacht design, sailplan, deck layout, ergonomics, optimization. A design we build around the sailors for optimum performance.

Sustainability, innovation, and 100% Dutch design are the key ingredients in the first IRC- and ORC-designed racer. This special edition is one of the few reusable and carbon-neutral yachts. Initially, she was optimized for full crew racing under both IRC and ORC. Why not continue the successful fully crewed campaign by a double-handed one? She has many wins, including IRC Dutch nationals, UK Double-handed nationals, and Yeoman Cup.

The experts selected the type of FSC wood, its specific characteristics, and natural fiber structure and treated it with biodegradable epoxy. Then briefly ‘baked’ in an oven to achieve extra durability. The result is lighter, stronger, and more sustainable than the usual composite and carbon materials.

Refit Farr40 with maximum reuse, reduce and recycle

The challenge: updating a neglected Farr40 to today's racing standards while re-using and recycling as much as possible.

To have her race again her full potential, we took care of the refit, redesigned the sailplan, designed and installed the new deck layout and ergonomics on board, and don’t forget the human element:
a well-trained crew.

We've already done many new designs, renew or optimization of keel and rudderblades. Just to name a few of our projects of some popular production yachts.
For Team SecHayai, winners of the Globe40 in 2023, their new rudders made a real difference in their golden circumnavigation!
